The September AOPL-API Joint Pipeline Leadership Meeting will continue discussions on potential performance improvement initiatives as prioritized by the Leadership in Banff. The meeting will also cover pipeline safety reauthorization and PHMSA regulation, as necessary. The meeting will start at 11:00 a.m., include lunch, and conclude at 6:00 p.m. Leadership attendees are invited to a 7:00 p.m. reception, which will also include attendees of the AOPL Annual Business Conference (ABC). Leadership attendees are also invited to the ABC Strategic Roundtable Breakfast on the next morning. Discussion facilitators are expected to include Steptoe & Johnson, REG, and Hunton & Williams.

There is no registration fee for this meeting.

Meeting Attire:

Casual (“Business Casual”) attire is appropriate for all business and social events for both presenters and registrants. This is typically comparable to golf shirts and slacks for men and similar for women. It is usually very cool in the meeting rooms, so bring a sweater for the meetings.

General Hotel Information:

The Conference will be held at the Westin Denver Downtown. Hotel reservations are your responsibility and must be made directly by you. The hotel has given our group a rate of $175 for a traditional room. These rates are guaranteed through Wednesday, August 24, 2011, as long as the hotel has available rooms. Inaddition to the room rate a sales tax of 14.85% (subject to change) per room per night will be charged. I recommend you make your reservation now so that you can make sure rooms are available. If you need to cancel later, please make sure you understand the hotel’s cancellation policy.

When making your reservation, be certain to mention you are with the Association of Oil Pipe Lines conference to obtain the group rate. The group rates will be honored for all your reservation nights. Have thehotel confirm the rate for all dates if you are extending your stay. If there is a problem, call Heather Keith (202-292-4507) at AOPL for assistance. If you have a problem with the rate, go ahead and make your reservation at whatever rate they quote, then email Heather Keith your confirmation information and she will work with the hotel on a rate adjustment.
